Women have been breastfeeding for generations, so why has it taken so long for fashion to keep up with this age old tradition?
When Judy P. Masucci Ph.D., had her baby in 2005, she found herself struggling to juggle the demands of motherhood, and her corporate job. As if a long commute and long work hours weren't enough, her son breastfed every hour.
Masucci says she lived in nursing clothing, and she wasn't happy with the selection she was seeing. So she quit her corporate job, and started A Mother's Boutique .
Since then she has expanded her business to selling wholesale clothing to other boutiques, offering women everywhere a stylish line of maternity and nursing wear that is also functional.
To Masucci it's about more than fashion, she also wants to support women who are breastfeeding. She does this through her blog mommynewsblog.com.
