Meet Our Team

Founded in 2007 by Judy P. Masucci, Ph.D., A Mother's Boutique has grown into a beautiful company and I am blessed with a great group of ladies who help make this company what it is.

Kirsten Pitini
I met Kirsten about a few years ago when she was pregnant with her second baby. She signed up to be one of my models for a fashion show that I did on the Pittsburgh Today show and later she became a customer at my boutique. And Kirsten is now one of my Retail Associates!! It is because of her that my store was able to offer extended afternoon/evening and Saturday hours - so for those of you who like to shop late and on the weekends - you have Kirsten to thank!

Kirsten is a local wife to tom and mom to two spunky boys. She has a wide range of interests and hobbies from cooking and baking to birth and breast feeding. She is a trained birth doula and an aspiring postpartum doula. Kirsten enjoys spending time with her immediate and extended family, but also loves her time away working for Judy at the store!

Gabrielle Smith
Gabrielle and I ran in many of the same birth and breastfeeding circles in the Pittsburgh area. If you don't know Gabrielle, she is our Shipping Manager. So if you've ordered something from our website recently, Gabrielle is the one who has packed up with tender, love and care.

Gabrielle is a mother of four, artist, and lifelong learner. She is passionate about, art, holistic health, and community. She worked as a doula for a few years, then created a Facebook community for local birth-workers to network and support one another. She found that birth-workers needed as much support as the women they serve. Gabrielle enjoys supporting women in any way she can.

Gabrielle is at her best when she is brainstorming, trouble-shooting, and bringing her creative ideas into fruition. She enjoys painting and working in clay and is now venturing in graphic design. In her spare time, Gabrielle works on redesigning her intuitive painting series so she can deliver it via online study group in 2015. Her art, classes, and blog can be found at

Katy Rank Lev
I also met Katy through the local Pittsburgh breastfeeding circles. She co-leads a local chapter of ICAN that has it's meetings at my store and she is now my newsletter writer extraordinaire! If you subscribe to our newsletter, it is Katy's thoughtful twinnings that meet your inbox every month. And beginning in Oct 2012, we are so pleased to welcome Katy as the main author of great breastfeeding posts on our blog too! Katy's own bio follows.

Katy Rank Lev is a Pittsburgh-based freelance writer who is intrigued by the extraordinary, attracted to quirk. She recently retired from a 12-yr competitive rugby career, knits steeked cardigans, and makes her own cheese. Her writing, covering anything from green home renovations to cupcake contests to urban coyotes, has appeared in Parents, American Baby,, and the Mother Nature Network.

Katy's initiation to parenthood inspired a rebirth in her writing. She gives voice to the gritty aspects of birth and mothering--all of it from breastfeeding to behemoth nursing bras to VBACtivism and cloth diapering. Katy, a co-leader of the Southwestern PA chapter of the International Cesarean Awareness Network, also blogs about parenting her son Miles and the impending birth of her second baby.

Amy West
I met Amy when she did a breastfeeding blog extravaganza a few years ago and I decided to be the exclusive sponsor. We then interacted in the blogosphere until one day, Amy convinced me to try out her internet services and have her manage my facebook page. Being the overworked wonder that I am, I took her up on a 3-month trial and haven't looked back. Amy is witty, on top of everything and she takes great care of my facebook page and the great moms who frequent it. One of my best investments ever! Oh yeah, she's a great friend too (funny how that happens). Her own bio is below.

Amy West is a Certified Lactation Counselor (yay boobies!). She's woefully UNdomestic but is making her way through married life and parenting with a wicked sense of humor and forgiving (if not amused) family.

She didn't plan to breastfeed, didn't want to, and didn't particularly like it....for the entire 26 months she did it! Her daughter never took a bottle or a pacifier, so she dug her heels in and stepped up to the job of mom/human pacifier/food source. Once she realized the importance of breastfeeding for babies, she became the advocate she is today.

Her work with The Best for Babes Foundation led her to her relationship with Judy. Amy is a freelance social media manager; she's kind of a human Facebook sponge and spends an inordinate amount of time online. Luckily, she gets away with it because it's her job! When she's not tethered to the internet, she's with her husband and three-and-a-half-year-old daughter.†

Laura Lioy
Laura and I met in a Gymboree Play and Music Class when our little ones were just weee little ones. Our "group" formed a lasting friendship and started organizing play dates outside of Gymboree too. For years, we would get together with all of our little ones and have baby showers for each other as our families grew. When Laura started working on her own freelance graphic design and marketing business, I brought her on to help with my own design. Laura does numerous things for me including all kinds of graphic design. If you see something new on this site or my blog, chances are that Laura played a roll in it. She is a great resource and friend.

Laura owns ELLE Marketing LLC, a graphic design and marketing company. She has had a varied career path from industrial engineering to sales to marketing earning the degrees to support the professions along the way. She has now landed in Pittsburgh, PA as a graphic design and marketing consultant bringing her Fortune 500 experience to smaller businesses.

She loves marketing and graphic design and loves working for smart, small businesses like A Motherís Boutique. She feels lucky and blessed to do what she truly enjoys. And this profession affords her the flexibility to be a very active mom of two very active boys!!

Kelly McNeilis
I met Kelly at the 2012 Big Latch On event that I hosted at my boutique. When Kelly approached me about working together to help local moms, I knew she'd be a great fit. I had already started a support group for new moms called New Mom Connections, but I really needed someone to give it some attention and get the word out to moms. Kelly said she'd be happy to help run the group - and the rest, as they say, is history! It is now growing daily and has hundreds of local moms as members! And just recently we invited Kelly to use her social media expertise to help us expand our presence onto Pinterest. Kelly is a Pinterest expert and she is happy to pinning all kinds of great things for A Mother's Boutique now too!

Kelly is "on a mission to help moms fit exercise, home cooking, and positive thinking into their busy lives." She's also a social-personality psychologist, certified health and wellness coach, and cookbook author. †Kelly enjoys running in the rain, going on dates with her husband, baking cakes with her two young daughters, and day-dreaming about cuddling with her new baby this fall. Kelly funnels all of these passions into her Pittsburgh-based business for moms, New Leaf Wellness. † †
