Ameda Platinum Rental Pump

Designed to provide mothers with the ultimate in comfort and performance, the Ameda Platinum Electric Breast Pump's precision suction and speed controls offer greater customization to maximize the effectiveness of expressing milk. The motor features a rotating piston design, replicating the smooth, original SMB waveform. This rotating piston, known for its smooth feel, comfort and durability is found to be most effective for pumping. The state-of-the-art innovations, including VacuSense™ Technology, illuminated LCD display, built in LCD timer and independent adjustable vacuum and cycle settings, provide a consistent and easier pumping experience no matter the location or protocol.

VacuSense™ Technology
Regular pump vacuum levels often decrease between single and double pumping and can also drop significantly in higher altitude locations, presenting challenges to mothers who require higher vacuum levels for effective milk expression. Exclusive to the Ameda Platinum Breast Pump, VacuSense Technology was engineered to emit and receive signals nearly every 1/2 second, allowing the pump to sense negative pressure levels which can alter the vacuum setting selected by the mother. Should the vacuum detected not match the setting the mother has selected, the control mechanism automatically adjusts internally.

CustomControl™ Provides Moms Multi-Phase Pumping
To replicate the natural sucking process of infants, the new Ameda Platinum Breast Pump’s CustomControl with independent suction and speed makes it possible for mothers to create a multi-phase experience. With dual controls and greater adjustability, it is easy for a mother to follow her milk flow by simply adjusting her pump controls until she finds the settings that trigger her optimal milk flow. The Ameda Platinum provides 5,000 setting combinations through independently adjustable controls that make it possible for a mother to keep the pump set on her maximum comfortable suction level while varying the pump’s speed to more quickly trigger the first, second, third and subsequent milk ejections and drain the breast more fully.

• Suction: An improved range of 30-250 mmHg and a more sensitive vacuum adjustability allows mothers to use the suction control to achieve their perfect comfort by increments of 1% or 10%.
• Speed: The research-proven 30-80 cycles per minute was selected for the Platinum's speed range so that mothers could express the most milk in the least time.

Digital Displays and Precision Controls
The Ameda Platinum Breast Pump features easy-to-read digital displays to allow mothers to pump easily day or night. The LCD screens help mothers to clearly see their preferred settings at any time, making it simple to return to them later. The new design also features an LCD timer, which allows for mothers to more easily follow pumping protocols and automatically shuts off after 60 minutes. The display also indicates when service may be needed or when the Ameda HygieniKit™ Milk Collection System is not properly attached.

Proven Airlock Protection™
Like all Ameda breast pumps, the Platinum was designed to work exclusively with the Ameda HygieniKit Milk Collection System. The HygieniKit is the first milk collection system for hospital-grade breast pumps to provide Proven Airlock Protection from both cross-contamination and self-contamination during pumping. A silicone diaphragm acts as a barrier to protect the air exchange between the expressed milk and pump tubing and protects the collected milk, tubing and pump from bacteria, viruses and mold while pumping. The Ameda HygieniKit Milk Collection System virtually eliminates the need for routine tubing inspection and care, decreasing staff workload and the associated risk to compromised newborns.

This pump is available for rental within the continental United States. A one-month rental is available for $79, 3 months for $207 (or $69 per month - save $30) or 5 months for $349 (or $69 per month - save $46). Please choose the appropriate number of months from the drop-down menu and save! When your order is received, you will be sent a rental agreement to sign. Your pump will be shipped as soon as the signed rental agreement is received (via fax, scanned and emailed or via snail mail). You can also download this rental agreement and send it in with your order. In order to use this pump, you must have a dual-hygeniKit. If you don't have one already, you can add one to your order. Your pump rental contract will start 1-4 days after shipment to allow time for the pump to arrive. Additional rental contract months can be added to your contract by calling or emailing us. If you have not returned your pump by the time your contract is up, you will automatically be billed for the next month until the pump is returned. If you are local to the Pittsburgh area, you can stop by our boutique to pick up your rental. If not, we will ship it to you for a fee of $15. This fee covers FedEx Ground shipment to your location.
